Member of the Supervisory Board of PZU S.A.
He is a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics (dissertation defended in 2007 at the Faculty of Law and Finance) at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). Since 2015, he has been involved with the financial sector, first as an Advisor to the President of the National Bank of Poland, then from 2016 to 2019 as the Director of the Agricultural Business Department at Alior Bank S.A. Since 2019, he has been working with Grupa mBank S.A. (Investment Banking Department). From 2015 to 2016, he served as an Advisor to the Government of Ukraine in supporting reforms of agri-food companies and institutional reforms of its Ministry of Agriculture and its agendas. From 2003 to 2005, he served as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, responsible for introducing Poland to EU’s common agricultural policy system. He was a Member of the 7th European Parliament (2009-2014), and sat in the Committee on Regional Development (REGI) and the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI). From 2001 to 2009, he was a deputy to the Sejm. He was President of the Polish Triathlon Union and a Member of the Executive Board of the Polish Olympic Committee
Mr. Wojciech Olejniczak has declared that he meets the criteria for independence as a member of the supervisory boards set out- in Article 129(3) of the Act of 11 March 2017 on statutory auditors, audit firms and public supervision; and - in Annex II to the European Commission Recommendation of 15 February 2005 on the role of non-executive or supervisory directors of listed companies and on the committees of the (supervisory) board (OJ EU.L.05.52.51); and - the additional requirements indicated in the Good Practices of Companies Listed on the WSE, which are annexed to Resolution No. 13/1834/2021 of the Exchange Supervisory Board of 29 March 2021.
