Vistula dresses Polish footballers for World Cup in Qatar

Vistula, as the official tailor of the national team, created formal outfit for the Polish National Football Team for the World Cup

A minimalist, modern, navy blue suit combined with a shirt of the same color and sporty shoes - in such a styling we will see the players of the Polish National Football Team during the official part of the World Cup in Qatar. Once again, the outfit was designed and prepared for the soccer players by Vistula, the official partner of PZPN. Fans can purchase a replica of this kit in stationary and online sales starting October 26. The brand also offers a special line of products inspired by the official World Cup monolock.

VRG Group's largest brand, Vistula, has been working with the Polish Football Association since 2016. The formal outfit, prepared for this year's championship is yet another styling by the brand for the Polish men's National Football Team. Previously, the red and white team performed in a set from Vistula during the official parts of the 2016 European Championships in France, the 2018 World Cup in Russia and UEFA EURO 2020.

- As the Polish Football Association, we are extremely proud of our exemplary and long-standing cooperation with Vistula. The brand credibility enjoyed by our partner also effectively affects the image of the largest and most popular sports organization in Poland. With thousands of clubs and players, we are aware that the pearl in the crown remains the Polish national team, arousing the greatest emotions among our compatriots. That's why we appreciate all the more the adaptation to current trends, quality and creativity of styling prepared by Vistula for the red and white team. The World Cup in Qatar is already the fourth major tournament we are preparing for with our partner. I hope that we will achieve great success at the World Cup and it will also be the result of our effective cooperation - says Cezary Kulesza, president of the Polish Football Association.

- The current outfit of the national team for the opening of the Championship, monochromatic, elegant and casual at the same time, is the quintessence of modern men's formal fashion. It perfectly represents what Vistula is today: comfort, conformity to trends, play with textures, top-quality materials and perfect stitching of each piece - says Marta Fryzowska, Vice President of VRG Group, responsible for the clothing segment.

The Poles' formal outfit for the Qatar World Cup consists of a wool suit, a cotton shirt and a Merino Extra Fine wool polo sweater. The whole outfit is complemented by accessories (including leather shoes and a silk pillowcase) made in noble navy blue. Monochromatic colors allow you to focus attention on the cut, emphasize the details of the closet and the thoughtful composition of the whole. However, this does not mean monotony. Individual elements are made of fabrics and knits with different structures and weaves, making the silhouette look original.

- The look we proposed for the World Cup in Qatar shows how to combine elements of formal and casual fashion with class. The specificity of today's formal dresscode is precisely the blurring of the boundaries between classic elegance and casualness, and the ability to combine different textures and fabrics and cuts in a way that allows you to manifest individuality. This combination of freedom in the construction of the silhouette and the high quality of individual elements guarantees comfort, and at the same time a stylish, timeless look - Marta Fryzowska highlights.

Tracing the historical projects Vistula has carried out in cooperation with the Polish Football Association perfectly illustrates the evolution of formal fashion we have seen in recent years. In 2016, the red and white players presented themselves in three-piece classic suits. Two years later, the design featured an elegant, delicate pattern. In turn, for the 2020 European Championships, taking place in 2021, the national team players went in more informal kits, designed in English style.

Suit for extreme seasons

This year's men's World Cup is being held for the first time in a country in the Middle East. The biggest challenge for the designers of the Vistula brand turned out to be the adaptation of the outfit for football players to the extremely different atmospheric conditions prevailing in Qatar and Poland. In addition to a distinctive design, the set is characterized by functionality, allowing it to look impeccable both in the hot climate of the Arabian Peninsula and the Polish autumn-winter aura.

To achieve this goal, an innovative fabric Traveller Suit 360 was used to sew the suit. Thanks to its remarkable properties, it is waterproof, antibacterial, ultra-breathable, and at the same time resistant to creasing. Using a fabric from a reputable Italian supplier, the suit not only looks elegant all day, but also provides comfort.

The outfit available in Vistula stores

In selected Vistula stores, national team fans will be able to buy a replica of the outfit featuring Robert Lewandowski, Arkadiusz Milik, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Piotr Zieliński, Wojciech Szczęsny, Kamil Glik and other players of the "eleven" and reserve teams. In addition, the brand is proposing a line of products that relate in color to the World Cup monolock. They will be available for sale in stationary stores and at www.vistula.pl

The effects of this year's cooperation between Vistula and the Polish Football Association will be communicated in a media campaign in the press and online, as well as through activities with influencers.

The opening match of the XXII World Cup will be played between the national teams of Qatar and Ecuador on Sunday, November 20, at Al-Khor Stadium. Thirty-two national teams will take part in the battle for the World Cup title this year. Poland will play its first match on November 22 at 5 p.m. against Mexico in Doha. The games will take place in 5 cities in 8 stadiums. The title of World Champion will be defended by the French national team.
